Food Security: Plateau launch 30,000-hectare rice farm

sujimoto Group, real estate developer, has partnered Plateau State to launch Sujimoto Rice Farm Estate.

Group Managing Director, Dr. Sijibomi Ogundele, leading a team to Jos, emphasised the impact of this partnership in revolutionising agriculture. “Sujimoto Rice Farm Estate represents our commitment to propel the sector forward.”

The partnership can be traced to a letter by Sujimoto to Governor Caleb Mutfwang on the need for a rice farm estate of 30,000 hectares — a visionpoised to boost agriculture.

Mutfwang hailed the project, stressing the need to leverage the state’s fertile land and climate for agriculture.

“This partnership represents a moment in our effort to enhance food security,” the governor said.

‘‘Sujimoto Rice Farm Estate is a multifaceted ecosystem integrating housing, farm hospitals, hotels, and markets—a blueprint for agro-tourism and sustainable development.

The delegation left Jos with a renewed vision to propel Plateau towards self-sufficiency and prosperity through agricultural initiatives. Ogundele’s leadership epitomises the group’s commitment to pushing boundaries in real estate and agriculture, representing a milestone to elevate Plateau State as a beacon of agro-tourism and food production in Africa.
