N’Delta: Stakeholders Call for Implementation of Environmental policies

Stakeholders have bemoaned unequal balance on environmental issues in Niger Delta where communities suffer from pollution and climate problems.

The stakeholders noted that some environmental issues appear unabated because there’s no strict monitoring of the implementation of such policies.

Dr. Andrew Uyo, a fellow of Ashoka Africa, an international non-profit organization lamented that quite a few environmental issues, ranging from oil spills, air pollution, and loss of the mangrove and farmlands have bedevilled the Niger Delta region for a very long time.Before flagging, please keep in mind that Disqus does not moderate communities. The controversies surrounding the health status of Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, ended, yesterday, when he attended a religious function at St. Peter Cathedral Church, Aremo, in Ibadan North East Local Council of the state, amid friends, well-wishers and family members.
