A China Eastern Airlines plane with 132 people on board has crashed in China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The crashed plane was reportedly a Boeing 737 flying from Kunming Changshui International Airport to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
The accident caused a fire, and the number of casualties is still unknown.
The precise cause of the incident remains undetermined, and rescue operations are underway.
According to the official website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, on March 21, a Boeing 737 of China Eastern Airlines lost contact with Wuzhou during the Kunming-Guangzhou flight, the plane has now been confirmed to have crashed.
There were 132 people on board, including 123 passengers and 9 crew members. The Civil Aviation Administration has activated the emergency mechanism and dispatched a working group to the scene.
