Home Coming For Cristiano Ronaldo As United Agreed Deal.

In what seems to be a done deal for Manchester City on Thursday, when the team started holding talks with Cristiano Ronaldo’s representatives over a possible move as been turned dramatically in favour of rival Manchester United.

Manchester United confirmed on Friday afternoon that they have reached an agreement to bring the five-time Ballon d’Or winner back to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo is expected to sign a two-year deal subject to being granted a visa and passing a medical, with United having agreed to pay an initial €15m to the Italian club plus up to €8m in bonuses.

Manchester United will kick their Champions League campaign off with a trip to Young Boys, while Chelsea take on Zenit St. Petersburg at home on September 14.

Ronaldo has less than 12 months left on his contract with Juventus, worth an estimated €31m a season after tax. It is understood City were reluctant to pay a fee for a player who will turn 37 in February, having also never agreed personal terms over a proposed two-year contract.
